About Us

Our story began in 2000 in a south Texas flea market called the Don-Wes Flea Market, located in Donna, Texas. A friend of mine had taken over a fledgling custom sewing shop from someone else, and I started working with her in customer service and as a seamstress.

That little shop was seasonal, open just three days a week to the public, and our customers were mainly retirees spending the winter in South Texas. It wasn't long before I was manager and running the shop, all while honing my sewing skills along the way.

My husband Mark came on board in 2008, and that's when we branched into the service side of things, installing our products on porches, decks, and more. In 2023 we branched out again, this time into selling flags.

All these years later we're still the same shop at heart, just grown. We make custom shadecloth and solar screen products at our seasonal physical location, and while we've made custom rollups for years, we're introducing DIY rollup shade kits for the first time. We also carry a big selection of flags, with a new garden flag line made especially for the retiree crowd we've come to know so well over the years. Now we're bringing some of that same shop online, so folks who trust us don't have to wait for winter in South Texas to find us.

Customer Service and honesty have always been one of our biggest priorities. I'd rather tell you the truth about a product, even if it costs me the sale, than sell you the wrong thing. Every shadecloth product we make is custom, made to fit your space, built to last, and made by people who've been doing this a long time. Our flags are sourced from manufacturers around the world, and we select products with quality, value, and durability in mind. Because materials and construction vary by style, we're always happy to help you choose the right flag for your needs.
